Summer Update

Hope everyone has had a great summer! This summer for us has been busy with travel and ministry. From leading worship at summer camps and different churches on Sundays, to family vacations we've certainly had a full schedule. Yet in all of the busyness we've managed to spend a lot of time together as a family, which has been a huge blessing!

This fall we'll be starting our second year of ministry in Austin through the residency at the Austin Stone Community Church. We want to thank you for your constant support and encouragement that helps fuel us to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the city and beyond. We're so thankful you are on this journey with us!

As we begin another year of ministry in Austin we wanted to share some ways you can pray for our family:

  • Pray for our hearts. We set out to do this residency not only because we felt the Lord calling us here, but because we wanted Him to refresh and reaffirm the ministry calling He's placed on us. We feel He's done a huge work in us this past year and pray that it will continue into next year. Read about all the Lord has done through our first year here
  • Pray for our kids. Jess and I have been steadfast in teaching the Gospel to Liv and Landry. One of our biggest prayers is that God would save our kids... that He would absolutely capture their hearts and they would find their greatest joy and hope in Christ.
  • Pray for my leadership. This has many facets, but as my role is expanded in ministry at the Austin Stone pray that I would remain faithful in leadership. One of the biggest ways this is happening is starting this Fall I will be leading worship on Sunday's at our church's West campus. This is such an exciting opportunity for me, I'm humbled to be able to lead in this capacity.
  • Pray for our support. Right now we are at about 60% of our 2nd year support goal. Last year God graciously provided all of our financial needs through the generosity of others. This time around has been a little slower than we anticipated but yet again, we are confident in His calling to be here and know He is faithful in His provision!

Thank you so much for your support and prayers! I look forward to updating you soon with all the Lord is doing for the glory of His name and the spread of His kingdom in Austin!
