Just the other day my 19-month old daughter began using the words “no” and “mine” quite often. As precious as she is, my wife and I were by no means surprised by this sudden change because we knew these times were coming.And whether I choose to like it or not there is one important truth I’m reminded of, we are all sinful, born into iniquity, and in need of a Savior. We didn’t teach our daughter to say those things, we didn’t teach her to be disobedient and want her way, it was inherited.

Time To Grow Up

“But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready, for you are still of the flesh.”

1 Corinthians 3:1-3a

Take a moment and reflect on all that takes place when Christ redeems the sinner and brings them to salvation. First of all, it has nothing to do with our own merit, we did nothing to earn it, we are depraved, wicked and sinful.
